Southern Arizona VA sees surge as more Veterans enroll in VA health care

The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System saw Veteran enrollments climb by 6.5% in fiscal year 2026. Between October 2025 and March 2026, the system enrolled 1,433 Veterans, up from 1,345 during the same six-month stretch the prior fiscal year — a gain of 88 enrollments.

The growth aligns with the Choose VA initiative, which encourages Veterans to take advantage of VA healthcare offerings. The positive results were attributed to the team's dedication by Margarita Rosas, who serves as the eligibility and enrollment supervisor for the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System.

Factors such as service history, disability status, and income determine whether a veteran qualifies for VA health care.
