The American Legion and the United States Army held a reception in New York City celebrating Medal of Honor recipient SFC Leroy Petry. American Women veterans founder Genevieve Chase and volunteers Chris Page and Stella Serpa were on hand to personally congratulate him on this rare and distinguished honor.

Help on the way for female combat veterans

The FET team isn’t the only population that is seeking help. There are thousands of female veterans who have deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan who have been exposed to direct fire or experienced some type of combat while serving in support roles such as combat photographers, truck drivers, radio operators and military policemen.
