Thank you for your service and sacrifice. I just heard an interview with your dad on NPR, and am so proud of you for you commitment to our country and your determination to expand what is possible for women. I will keep your family in my prayers forever.
Sincerely,

I heard Spc. Gordon’s father speak on NPR this morning. I made me cry thinking that she passed away on my birthday by helping to protect me and my freedom. From now on, I will add her name in my praying on my birthday. Thank you Brittany and may you rest in peace.
I am always impressed by the courage and dedication our young veterans exhibit. Spc. Gordon heard the call to duty and heeded it. I wish to honor her, and her loving family on this Memorial Day. Truly, she is nothing less than a hero. My most earnest condolences to parents and extended family.
I came across a YouTube video early this morning and was touched by its content: the welcome home Spc Brittany Gordon received by family and community upon her arrival at MacDill AFB, through the funeral procession to the Lawson Funeral Home and her interment. Though it was a sad occasion it was dignified and respectful in honor of Spc Gordon. The outpouring of community in attendance demonstrated their caring for one of their own who had made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of her country. RIP.
