    1. Please add the VA for Vets program to your list.

This is a new career support program designed to hire more veterans into the Department of Veterans Affairs. Secretary Shinseki has set a goal that 40% of VA’s employees should be veterans. I am a recruiter, and we are trying to get the word out to our veterans. For those vets who qualify, we can expedite the federal hiring process by using special hiring authorities.

The website is a good place to start. It also has a military skills translator, self-assessment tools, links to current job openings, and access to live coaches that can assist with resume writing and interview skills.

Thanks, and I love your blog. I am an Army veteran, and I admire what you are doing.
