Congress Passes Veterans’ Benefits Act of 2010

The eterans’ Benefits Act of 2010 passed the House on Thursday after passing the Senate on Tuesday. It is now headed to the White House where it is expected that President Obama will sign it into law.

“Under legislation President Obama signed into law last year, servicemen and women whose service was extended due to ‘stop loss’ are eligible for $500 per month in retroactive pay for each month their service was extended and the deadline is October 21, 2010.”
